I should start saying that I'm going to LA this next month so WEEEEE!!!! I'm so excited.
I'm going with EF (Here is the link of the agency-> ef.com), which is an agency that organize trips to different countries in order to learn English. They have a lot of destinations all over the world.
And well, two years ago I went to London during 3 weeks with them and I stayed with a host family and it didn't turn out to be as good as I expected. They were good but I don't know, I expected to feel like I was part of the family? I think in England they do it like a job, to earn money because they are paid around 1000 pounds for each student so... and yes, they give you food, accommodation but I imagined another thing but maybe it was supposed to be like that. (I'm Spanish and I am a very close to my family and we all talk about everything so it shocked me that they were very cold and that, but it didn't stopped me to have an amazing experience I will never be able to forget about!)
I visited Brighton, Oxford, we went to museums, the Harry Potter Studios... I met so many people and I fell in love with London.

Due to my experience with the host family in London I wasn't so sure about picking a host family again or going to a residence but I looked in some people's blog and they all agree that American families are so much more nicer than English families and maybe this is because Americans do it because they want to and they are not exactly paid for it. It took me a while to decide but I realized that if I go to a residence I will be all the time with the Spanish people and of course I'll may have more fun but nevertheless if I go to a host family I will learn about the American culture and maybe they are nicer this time.
You may imagine what I have choose, right? Host family again. In 20 days they will tell me about them and I'm leaving the 30th so I am so freaking nervous and I can't wait to go to LA, San Francisco and to discover the USA.
Have you ever been in any kind of trip like this? Comment!!
